Witches & Weirdos provides done-for-you bookkeeping for small businesses that want their finances handled with care and consistency.
We focus on long-term relationships, clear communication, and work that’s done right the first time.
That means your books are always accurate, up to date, and ready for whatever’s ahead, whether that’s a meeting with your accountant, investing in a new space, or expanding into your next big thing.
How We Work
Ongoing, Relationship-Based Support
We work with clients on an ongoing basis, not as one-off projects. That means we get to know your business, your patterns, and what matters to you over time. Your books don’t reset every month—and neither does our understanding of your business. (And yes, you may occasionally get cheeky texts from us saying, “Hot damn, you had a good month!”)
Bookkeeping Done Properly
Good bookkeeping is precise, accurate, and deeply practical. It’s about knowing how the numbers fit together, how to apply the rules, and how to catch the things most people miss. We bring experience, technical skill, and quiet confidence to the work—so you aren’t left wondering if your books are “close enough” or quietly falling apart behind the scenes.
Clear, Human Communication
We keep our communication straightforward and organized. You’ll know where to find things, when to expect updates, and how to reach us without chasing down a black hole of email threads. We keep things clear and contained, so bookkeeping doesn’t spill into every corner of your day.
Meet the Team
Stephanie Cleary (she/her) is the founder of Witches & Weirdos Bookkeeping. She’s a bookkeeper and systems nerd who has spent the past eight years helping small businesses stay on top of their numbers. Her client roster includes designers, artists, healers, organizers, and brick-and-mortar business owners — and she’s built her practice around clients who value consistency, kindness, and dependable support.
Stephanie is queer, unapologetically into bookkeeping, and has found her sweet spot supporting business owners who want accurate books, clear communication, and don’t mind the occasional f-bomb. Her work is grounded in experience, sound judgment, and attention to detail — so clients can stop second-guessing and trust their numbers.
When she’s not elbows-deep in QuickBooks or happily sorting through bank statements, there’s nothing her gay little heart loves more than listening to a badly written cozy murder mystery and absolutely NOT resisting the urge to buy a new houseplant.
Trish Urso (she/her) is the newest member of Witches and Weirdos. She finds working with data downright meditative—spreadsheets are her happy place. After 20+ years in corporate America (most recently as a UX researcher), she still loves digging into data to uncover the story behind the numbers. She holds a BA in Theater, an MS in Project Management & Business Analytics, and is also a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist. Home is Maine, where she lives with her partner and Bella, a calico diva who runs the household with unapologetic flair.
